From: Ecovillages: lessons for sustainable community (Litfin). A book in which a social scientist observes different villages. She divides sustainable living in 4 areas being: Ecology, economy, community and consciousness. Community stands for the ways people interact socially, how children are raised, how people come to desicions etc. Consciousness has to do with the worldviews that ecovillagers hold. Each subjet has a its chapter, below is a (somewhat chaotic) summary of the economy chapter.
